Music Is the Language of the Soul
My mother’s sister passed away last week, and it’s made me reflect upon how music has played a pivotal role in my grieving and healing process. As I journaled my prayer of the day, I thanked God for my mother who brought music into my life. I thanked Him for the increase in musical inspiration that came with her passing. Prior to my mother’s final illness, I only played what was written on the page. But I felt as if my mother left heaven’s door ajar and music now streams extemporaneously through onto the piano. It’s as if heaven gave me a companion to comfort me on this last part of my mortal sojourn without my Mama. In many ways, my mother IS music to me. In reply to my prayer, I wrote this Encouragement from the Father on August 12, 2024. (Below this post is the process for how these Encouragements from the Father come to me.)
Music Is the Language of the Soul
Inspired music is the language of the soul. It conveys emotion, messages, truths, movement and more. The Spirit rides along the sound waves of music, and music cracks open the human heart, softening it for the Spirit to find its way inside.
Music is heaven’s gift to mankind carried from eternity into mortality, weaving through both realms, connecting them, and communicating messages across time, space, and dimensions.
It’s a prayer to God, and it’s an answer back to mankind. Music weaves through space, the planets, through the earth and everything upon it.
Music is Heavenly Mother’s lullaby to her children. Just as your mother brought music into your home and left it as her legacy to you, Heavenly Mother speaks to and through her children with song. Music is her message and her messenger.
The Spirit comes forth from the Father. The Light of Life comes forth from the Son. And Music comes forth from Heavenly Mother (the Divine Feminine) – through her inspired sons, daughters, and all of creation.
Just as Satan seeks to counterfeit the Spirit, so he appropriates music for his ends. But sublime, inspired music that brings peace, love, and joy helps you process through pain to joy and brings you to Christ. It is a gift from Mother.
“For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads.”
Doctrine and Covenants 25:12
The songs of the righteous are a prayer unto Me. They are a prayer going out into the world, leading my children home to Me. They come from heavenly realms as messages for you that can be shared with others.
We love you and are speaking to you through every living thing around you – including the rocks, the soil, and water of the Earth. We’re in the blue skies and the clouds, every blade of grass and flower and tree. We’re in the birds, in the fruit of your garden, in your own cells and organs and tissues.
The Light and Life of the world is in all things, through all things, and everything is One in Christ Jesus, the Light of the World. Divine music infuses everything, and each element contributes to the divine symphony that is creation. We are with you in all things. We are in all things, through all things. Look for us everywhere.

Celestial Guardian
The following song was inspired by cloud watching and feeling my Mama looking over me as my Celestial Guardian and knowing that I am not alone. That angels and ancestors are near and on my side. This is one of the tracks on my album, “Earth’s Serenade,” available on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music and wherever music is streamed or sold.
“Encouragements from the Father” are messages I’ve received and documented through journaling. My practice is to handwrite a prayer to Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Then I study whatever scripture I’m led to (whatever falls open or comes to mind) and journal about it. Then, I listen for Heavenly Father’s reply and free flow write what comes. I have been impressed to blog some of these or portions of them that might be of some insight and encouragement to others. I do not claim to be speaking for God. I’m simply free flow writing what I feel led to write. Many times, the feelings or impressions I receive are not easily conveyed into words and are limited by my human ability to express. Take them or leave them as the Spirit directs you.
